Hello my dear ladies and gents,

I’m going to write my 5  favorite  restaurants in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. First of all I must say that this is one of my favorite cities in the world and thats why I wanted to share this text with you. It is located at the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers, where the Pannonian Plain meets the Balkans. As a strategic location, the city was battled over in 115 wars and razed to the ground 44 times. It has a special administrative status within Serbia and it’s one of five statistical regions of Serbia. The city has been awarded many titles, and the nomination for Europen Capital of Culture.

So here are my fav places where you can chill with your friends or your spouse, enjoy a good meal and a glass of vine while you’re in Belgrade.

Number one is definitely ”Toro” restaurant. It is located in Karadjordjeva 2-4 Street and with an amazing view of the river it’s the absolute place to be! It is a Latin Gastro Bar with great food, drinks and atmosphere. I highly recommend this place!

My second choice is ”Sakura” Japanese restaurant also located in Karadjordjeva 2-4 Street. Nice environment, pleasant service, excellent food. Authentic and fresh japanese and thai dishes, with an excellent price/quality ratio. If you love Hakkasan, London-you will love this place.

My third choice is ”Disco Grill Radost”, a late night restaurant located in Karadjordjeva 44 Street between clubs ”Mladost” and ”Ludost”. On the weekends the kitchen is open till the morning hours. If you love italian specialties you must try their Ravioli and Pizza Napolitana. If you prefer meat you must try T-bone steak, ribs and lamb chops.

My forth choice is W sushi, if you like sushi you can’t miss this one! It has 3 locations but my fav one is in Andrije Nikolica 2a, Senjak. They serve a combination of Japanese and West culinary traditional meals. I enjoy this place so much and go there at least once a week. I especially recommend the sets called sexy girl, joker, dragon and tiger. The salmon sashimi is also delicious! For dessert I often go for sweet maki rolls with nutella and banana. But before you go to ”W” sushi, stop by ”Sheher” restaurant right across the street. It’s the place to be seen. Lovely venue, great service and the coolest people in town.

Last but not least is ”Ebisu” restaurant located on the 7th floor of Square Nine hotel. The stylish rooftop offers an elegant terrace overlooking Belgrade’s most charming historic neighbourhood and authentic japanese cuisine. The important thing to know is that it’s closed on Mondays. Working hours on other days of the week are from 6pm to 1am.

High quality ingredients from japanese markets across Europe, the finest sushi grade fish, pacific tuna and adriatic sea bass, norwegian salmon and many more.
